DC Formulations Tinted Sheer Lip Balm (shade: Guava)

DC Formulations is a "brand" that I've been curious about mainly because of their really cheap products for sale. As far as I understand, they're a cosmetics manufacturing company that's try to find a brand to work with. They have their products on sale for really cheap since they come straight from the factory and don't have any FDA certifications.

I saw a lot of positive feedback about their cream blush and so I wanted to give the company a try. I was looking for a moisturizing lip balm for lip prep at this time so their tinted sheer lip balm caught my eye.

I wanted something like the Nivea Strawberry Shine lip balm since mine was near done (depotted to a small purple container)— something warm and orange like it that appears as a slight tinge of red on my lips. This was before I bought the EB K-Beauty Lipstick so I was hoping to use this lip balm as my daily lipstick that gives a sheer and subtle tint.

Unfortunately this lip balm was sheer at all. If anything, I'd say it's just a really moist lipstick. It can very easily build a full coverage tint on the lips. It easily moves around and bunch up around the lips which wouldn't be an issue if the formula were actually sheer.

The shade I got is also far from what was advertised. The listing showed that Guava had an orange swatch but in reality it's more of a warm dusty pink. I didn't want another pink lip in my collection but alas. At least I still find it wearable for daily 'whatever' looks. The formula isn't very moisturizing. It does ok. Also I'm dehydrated in general so.

After receiving this product, DC Formulations disappeared from most or all their online platforms.
