Week 3
I wanted to play with the cheap Dasique palette knockoff
I clumped my lashes with mascara but then decided I wanted to wear clusters later that day so I just put the lashes on top without washing off the mascara. I loved the outcome; my lashes were huge and were poking my brows at certain points. Though I wear glasses that make my eyes shrink so it didn't look like an obstacle. A new thing to play around with..
This week I used my peripera blushes a lot which are really subtle in terms of color and finish, which I found I don't really like. I do like Romantic Rose however. The color is a deep velvet magenta to me which makes me think of those girly shopping or dressup flash games. The little bear emboss is going bye-bye now..
Week 4
+ Dorolab Glue-free Eyelashes, "puppy eyes style" (no img)
No classes this week due to a storm. I used Cherry Dazzle a lot to know it better. It's difficult to use since the formula is weird and patchy and the shade is really dark. I haven't tried going out with this on yet since it's a really bold color. It does a strange thing where it looks crazy when I first put it on but then somehow looks normal after a few hours.
I tried this thing where I wet my brush with setting spray before dipping into eyeshadow to get a better color payoff; used this trick for eyeliner. It kind of stung because the setting spray is also a fixinf spray so it has alcohol.
The trick to making brown eyeshadow work as eyeliner is to go light on the upper lid so the eyeliner doesn't get washed out.
who knew I could just put eyeshadow or contour on top of brown lipstick to get that cool dark brown lip color that I've always wanted
I was swatching my nude brown blushes and I noticed that Lily in Dear Lily is redder than Nude Biscuit. I thought they were essentially the same shade so it's nice to know this distinction.
